Battle of the palettes MUA

undress me too
Last time MUA had an 40% off offer I decided to try it out. From when I placed my order until now that I'm holding it, has been 20 days.. That's insane. Apparently they held back my package because they had sold out of the undressed palette  and I had ordered one. Without telling me they just gave me back my discounted money for the palette and send it too me. SO POOR service!

Heaven and earth
Anyways, I got the undressed  me too palette and the heaven and earth palette. Let me start of by saying that the shadows are all quite lovely - although the palette size is a lot smaller than I had thought. They are really pigemented and moist.

People  online keep talking about how much they smolder, I don't think they do? But I press my brushes into the shadow and don't swirl, maybe that's the difference?

Now about the two palettes.

Swatches: On top heaven and earth on buttom undress me too
Heaven and earth is palette full off deep warm brown colors, a few golden colors and light shimmery colors. It's pretty standart colors nothing I didn't have already.

The Undress me too is awesome. Although one color 'Naked' is really naked cause it doesn't show up (poor quality as with many mattes), the colors in this palette is more variated than the heaven and earth. The colors are a mix of cool toned brown/greys, a few golden, a black, and 2 matte go to colors. I love that they've given the colors names in this palette. Besides the naked I find all the remaining colors to be wonderful!

If I where to buy only one, it would probably be the undress me too.

Kerastase Chroma protect

I went by my local hairdresser a couple of weeks ago and found this on sale for 9£. So of course I had to try it out. It's a leave in cream to protect your hair and keep the color vibrant.
The difference from when I wear this and when I don't is significant! The core texture of my hair is much better. It feels so much stronger and healthy. This is basically a way too cheat your hair healthy! It's like botox for your hair..

What you do? I use an almond size of this all over my wet hair and then my Joico oil for the ends. Let it dry naturally and it leaves smooth long hair (well it doesn't really grow your hair longer) as a result.

It's a gel type formula and doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky or heavy in any way (when used on wet hair, note wet! Once I forgot it and tried it on damp hair.. It wasn't good). I have fine long hair and it works wonders!

Scent: It has a lovely floral scent to it. If your not one for any type of scent at all, then this might not be for you. This scent will linger through the day.

Will I recommend: Definately! If you've got damaged colored hair, this is the thing for you!

I think I'll pick the Nectar Thermique up next time, just to try it out.

Dior Addict Extreme

I got my hands on a sample off this in the color 536 Lucky. It's a beautiful summer color!

It's a bright pinkish color, which I imagine will go great with a slight tan and a cute summer dress.

It very well moisturised. Some compare the Loreal Caresse lipsticks, but they do dry out on your lips after a while (though for a third of the price, they are pretty good).

The packaging is amazing for a sample though. It's sturdy, heavy and very expensive looking. So if you have some money to spend, this definately would be a good way to go. In full size it's 31 us dollars and can be found here.

Benefit Ms Behavin

This was the lipstick used on the vampires in the first twilight movie (Edward and Alice's lips). It's a deep purple color with beautiful blue glitters in it (don't worry, it won't show up). The glitters and the purple color will make your teeth look white (a big bonus) and applied with a finger first it'll add a beautiful hint of color on your lips.

Personally I love this color for winter/autum time.. It leaves a nice darker tint too your lips and looks gorgeous with a pretty 'made up' evening look.

The packaging is nice and heavy, feels expensive (which it kinda is, around 14£ I believe).

It moisturises really well and doesn't feel heavy at all. You can find it here.

e.l.f. beautybook - Smoky eye edition

This is sold out online. Yes, I apologise.. But I though that they might still have them in stores somewhere. So here's a quick swatch. Not all colors are worth something, and as you may be able to tell from the swatches, some crumble big time!

Swatches are starting at the buttom right corner of the palette and working it's way up ending with the white..

Ace of Face?

Ace of Face
This is a brand I stumbled over in this months GoodieBox. It's a new upcoming brand from Denmark. Their focus is making eyes the most beautiful they can be and in order to do so, they've launched a wonderfull series of mascaras and eyeliners. I got the Extra volume Premium No 1 to review here for you.

Packaging: It comes in a sleek black tube, with white text and lovely flowers on the lid. The plastic has a matte feel to it, but unlike others matte products, this doesn't fade in your makeup purse.

Scent: It doesn't smell like most high street mascaras - like plastic. It has a very fresh scent too it. Wonderful!

The brush
Use: It applies very well! It amazing. When I first saw the brush head I though it was going to make my lashes clump like insane, but the formula is really great. It adds tons of volume but with NO clumps.

Will I recommend it? Yes, most certainly. It definately a product worth trying out if you're ever in Denmark. They're chep (around 8£ for a mascara and 5£ for an eyeliner) considering how great a product you buy. You can get a hold of them here.

ELF goodies

Hi Beauties

Apparently I wasn't quite done making reviews for you guys today ;)

Recently I've bought myself some ELF goodies. I'm having a real cheek and lips period so of course I had to try the cream blush and conditioning lip balm!

First off the blush. It's the first from the right on the pic in the color 'heart breaker'. When it's in the pot it feels like a dough, but on the skin it blends really easy and like a mousse. It's a very true pink and perfect for those 'I've just been out running' looking cheeks. It stays on quite a while and reminds me a lot of Top Shops cream blush in Flush (only this is a bit more yellow/peach). I think they come in around 6,5£ (kind of expensive for ELF, but they are good).

The conditioning lip balm has an sph 15 (which is essential at this time of year) and is in the color 'Mellow melon'. It's second from left at the pic. The color is pretty close to the inside of a water melon so the name is quite fitting. Some people compare this to Korres Lip Butters.. I think they're quite right! The only thing I can point out where the Korres is better, is the smell. The ELF smells like a mixture of vanilla and .. clay? But this isn't really a big deal for me. So I will definately pic up some more of these! They come for around 3,75£ (a lot cheaper than Korres!)
.
Similar for the lip balm and the blush are the irritating glass jars. They are huge, square and not really glass. It's annoying and a huge minus. You can't bring them along in a small bag. Please ELF change the packaging!

The next three are there Hypershine Glosses. I have shown the colors (starting 3 from left): Vixen (no shimmer) - a true red, Berry cherry (no shimmer) - Your lips but better, Blossom (subtle sheen) - gives a nice suttle sheen and pink tint.
I LOVE these! I have for a long time.. They are easy with the twist up funktion, they give a nice easy tint (nothing too opaque - which I prefer). My biggest love is the Berry Cherry. It gives my lips just enough to look naturally pretty. And for 1,5£ ?! What's not to love?

Hope you love ELF as much as I do,

xoxo

YSL Touche Éclat foundation!

Hi Beauties

I've had the fortunate too try out the latest foundation from YSL. The touche éclat highlighter have been somewhat of a sensation to the world of beauty, so no wonder they expanded the line to a foundation as well.

The color range is quite wide but the color I got was number 30 Beige Rose.  It is supposed to be for lighter skin with a pinkish undertone. I don't feel like this is made for light skin at all! Blended out it helps, but it is still very dark. For summer it'll be okay maybe.. It doesn't oxidise - a bonus.

From the left: Clinique even better in 01 alabaster, MAC pro longwear NC 15, Rimmel Match perfection 100 Ivory, YSL Beige Rose 30, MAC face body NC 30

The scent is a fresh cucumber scent (this is my interpretation only), it feels really nice and smells wonderful.

The texture is light, easy to blend and fluid.

The illuminating part.. Well for someone with oily skin like me, this isn't a bonus. Some illuminating foundations make me look like I've taken a bath in oil. This unfortunately isn't an exception. I wanted to love this product, but after a couple of hours, I'm shining all over.

It doesn't come off easily - that's a bonus for someone like me who have trouble making foundations last!

All in all ? I think this will be a good foundation for dry skinned people who needs a bit of shine and have a lovely tan. But for me, it's way too dark and makes me shiny.

Battle of the Micellaire !

Hi beauties

As soo many others, I've been lured by the micellaire cleansing waters. One I was given in my goodiebox, the other I picked up at the beauty shop. I would love to have tried the Bioderma (sort of a cult favorite)

, but that's hard to get a hold of when you don't live in France.

The two competing products are Avéne's Lotion Micellaire and A-Derma Eau Micellaire.

Feel: First off, the big difference between the two are that the Avéne is a lotion water and A-Derma is a 'water' type only. Being a 'water lotion' the Avéne leaves your skin feeling more sticky than the A-Derma.

Scent: The Avéne has a more strong flowery smell too it, than the A-Derma which has a suttle pleasent scent.

How it works: I though I might take pictures too compare. The product I've removed is MAC Powerpoint eye pencil in Industry (which btw is a dark grey with mild glitters).

The far left is Avéne, the middle is A-Derma and the third is without any. As you may be able to tell, the A-Derma is far more effective in removing makeup.

Which do I recommend? For dry or mature skin the Avéne just because it is much more moisturizing, but for me it's the A-Derma definately! It works much better with my oily skin.

A new Pai love

Hi all beauty lovers

A few years ago I got really bad skin. That's left me with a few scars on my chin, some days it look alright, some days they look like purple little freckles. I've tried a lot of lightening products over the years, but nothing really worked enough or it broke my sensitive skin out.

About my skin: Impure, oily, scarring and impurities.

I've read a lot of reviews online and found Pai's Roseship BioRegenerate. So of course I had too try it out for myself.

What is Pai Roseship Regenerate oil?
It's an oil with high levels of trans-retinoic acid which boost the skins natural healing process. Plus it contains carotenoids that give it an orange look and help the skin look more radiant.
This oil is extracted by volcanically CO2 which helps to preserve the natural oils in the plant.

So all in all it's a pure oil containing pro-vitamin A, Carotenoids, omega 3,6,7 and 9 all designed too restore your skin and help the natural healing process.

What does it promise?
- Refine the appearance of damaged skin and fine lines
- Improves skin tone and texture
- Soothe damaged skin prone to irritation
- Works with dry, oily, youthful and mature

As a plus it's 99,8% organic ingredients, vegan, free off synthetic irritants and not tested on animals!

Does it work?
What you do is use a few drops (2-3) on your face and neck and go too sleep.

The last couple of days it's been absorbed quickly, doesn't stain anywhere, leave my skin looking radiant in the morning (I only use it at night) and somehow it hasn't irritated my skin - but actually helped against impurities!
Obviously I haven't used it enough to say anything about the scars. But I'll let you know in a couple of months.

I'm soo excited to try this and think it's already been worth the money just for making my skin so clear.

It's only around 15£ at beautybay.com which ship worldwide and for free!

Hope you all are doing well,

xoxo
