Inglot Lip Paint

Yesterday when I went to Inglot I saw their lip paint.. The beautiful array of colors standing ever so neatly next to each other. So of course I had to go back and try them out for myself. There where loats of cool colors, but being fond of reds and berrys I only chose two.

They are super moisturizing and very well pigmented! They come in all colors. Some of them are beige, sand, brown, purple, bright red and so on. I didn't see any with glitter in them, well, those I have bought have non. They taste great and smell wonderfully off cherries.

I chose
No 68 a very berry color
No 64 I more true red color

I have taken some swatches for you. From left to right it is 68 and then 64. It's taken with and without flash, non smudged and smudged.

Once on the lips they're quite similar so if you are thinking of trying them out, then I suggest only getting one - but for me who loves them I just justify getting two since they where different colors. I think they're really good and know I'm gonna get a lot of use out of them. The color of a lipstick, but the feel of a gloss/balm.

They are around 10£ each.

E.L.F. favorites (swatches)

These are taken with and without flash. It's my favorites from ELF.

From the top down you see: blush in tickled pink, eyeshadow in amethyst, eyeshadow in pebble, mineral lipliner in rose.

All the shadows and the blush has the elf eyelid primer underneath - which I by the way also like.

xoxo

My favorite lipsticks (swatches)

I'm in swatch mode today, so here is swatches of my top 3 lipsticks.

From left to right: Loreal Caresse 202 Impulsive Fuchsia, Clinique Almost Lipstick Black Honey, Benefit ms. behavin

MAC eyeshadow swatches

Thought you might like to use a couple of swatches today!

The swatches show MAC eyeshadows over my Bellapierre colourstay primer with and without flash.

From left to right: Brun, Satin Taupe, Cork, Woodwinked, Jest, Vanilla (velvet)

Bellápierre

A couple of weeks ago I won an eyeshadow and primer by Bellapierre cosmetics from nicecare.dk 's facebook site. It all was a real surprise, I've never really won anything before. Anyways, Nicecare is a Danish website that has makeup and skincare completely free of parabens, non natural ingrediens and there is no testing on animals.

The mineral shadow is in the color Refined. It's a beutiful navy with a dark silver/navy sheen to it. It's a great color for 'smokey eyes' (better for me than a black that looks way too harsh on me). I used it all around my eyes, with a golden color in the middle (like stars on a midnight sky) for a masquerade I went to around a week ago.
With flash

It wouldn't be much without the primer though.. You can see the difference on the swatches.

Swatches from left to right
-One layer of shadow on top of a primer
-Packed shadow on top of primer
-Shadow without primer

With the primer, it is gorgeous! It stays on all night, doesn't flake, fade or smudge. Without the primer it has a tendency to disappear and to color doesn't really show, which is a real shame - it's quite unique.
Without flash

All in all, my first impression with bellapierre is good. The primer is the most impressive, it just stays put!

The prices may vary around, but check out their sites.

nicecare.dk - DK mainly
bellapierre.com - International

Products mentioned: Bellapierre colour STAY, Bellapierre shadow Refined

All in all? I like them. I'm crazy about the colour stay primer and love the uniqueness of the color in the shadow. It's also nice to know that it's safe cosmetics - maybe I'm gonna see what else is on nicecare.

Have a lovely day,

xoxo

NB! The primer is white in the pan, but when dry, it has NO color at all!

A trip to Inglot

Before meeting my brother (we where going to see a movie - the untouchables) I went for a quick trip to Inglot. They're having a 50% off sale, which continues untill January 1st (in Denmark).
Liquid liners, under eye concealer and eyeliner brush 23T
I haven't tried a lot off their products before, but looking around the store today, I was impressed. They had the most beautiful eyeshadows and face makeup had a wide range. Their 'freedom system' is really cool! It's a system where you can mix and match, blush, shadow, lips and concealer in a little case. You choose which, how many off each and so on. Cool!

Only problem, I'm not much of a eyeshadow gal but tend too focus more on skin and a good solid eyeliner. So I found to liners in brown that would look great on green/blue eyes, a concealer (but they gave me the wrong color) and a really cheap brush.

The liquid eyeliners are something I'm not used too, so I though brown would be the way to go. I found the one in 20 and 23.

On top is # 23, the bottom is # 20
Color 20: This is a very golden, shimmery brown, a bit lighter than the 23
Color23: This is more off a red brown with golden shimmers in it

They have amazing staying powers! The swatches sticked on me like glue and would only come off in the presence of soap (water didn't do the trick alone).

The concealer was the wrong color, which I only noticed once I had tried it on the hand at home. She gave my the wrong color! Nothing is more irritating than comming home with the wrong product! But, she is human too. Humans make mistakes.

Under eye concealer: The consistency of the concealer is nice though, very fluent and rich - it feels like it's doing something good for my eyearea. It's not as pigmented as I would have liked. Maybe it's caused by the change of color, maybe the store once had set for longer, but that one had more pigment, than this one.

So, all in all, I will definately go back to try out more products. Will however, from this day on, always look at the colors one more time before bringing them home!

Soap and Glory: Hand Food

The most astonishing hand cream ever?

This is a really lovely handcream. I'm going too put a warning out, this is heavily scented, so if you don't like that, this will definately NOT be for you.
But personally, I LOVE it! It sinks in very quickly, it smells lovely - like a perfume I can't remember - and  it brings moisture to the skin. The scent stays on for a long time (huge plus). I wanna say the scent is similar to Marc Jacobs Daisy, maybe?
It's not a thick cream, but I don't care for thick creams so that suits me just fine. Though, if you have seriously dry hands maybe even chapped skin, than I - again - don't think this will be for you. The perfume and the water in it, won't do anything to help you fight those problems.

This is what the bottle says:   The most astonishing hand cream ever? You decide! Hand Food Non-greasy hydrating hand cream with shea butter, macadamia oil & marshmallow

I must admit my eyebrow whent up, when I read the marshmallow part.. But I don't care, I love putting it on and smell all nice.

It comes in at 5£ for 125ml (cheap!)

Muji candles and soaps

I know this isn't exactly makeup and skincare, but it never hurts too think outside the box once in a while..

I found Muji 'cause a friends asked me for some candles, when I was (surprise) in London. Even though I've been to London lots of times, I've never noticed Muji. That's changed. You walk in and find everything from pencils, to scented candles, notebooks, folders etc.

This time I found scented candles. If you like the type of candle that smells up the entire room, this isn't it. But it does smell nice right next too your computer, when typing.

I particularly love the 'Elderflower champagne' scented one, it smells amazing! Pleasant but still fresh and elegant at the same time. The Berry one is nice too, as well as the Nashi - Japanese pear - a lot more fresh than the elderflower one. There where tons of other types of scents, but there three where all I managed too carry. They run at 3,5£ each.

They have four different scented soap bars: Avocado (green), Manderine (orange), Lemon(yellow) and citrus woods(blue). I love them all! They're pretty with the bright non-opaque colours and boxed cut. They go for 0,99£ each.

All in all, love the soaps and like the candles. I wish they where a little more heavy scented, but they're still very good.

Soap and Glory: Supereyes moisturizing gel

As a lot of my other items, I came across this in London. I'm having a bit of a Soap and Glory trip these days, so of course I had to try this 'instant action'!

As the name says, it's a gel formula, which is great for oily skin. It feel tightening and 'cooling', but at the same time, not really moisturizing. So if one is in need for a serious moisture kick, I don't think this will be the way to go.

It is great in the morning when you need that 'umpf' to get your day going. Make up on top of it looks great too!

All in all, this isn't a night eye cream, not for me at least, but right now - my favourite for morning time.

A big plus is that is has sort of bluish / pinkish sparks in it - the brightening effect right there! I tried to take a picture and hope you can sense the effect of the cream in it.

The price (as I remember) is right around 9£ (which I think it is totally worth).

xoxo

Lush: Candy Mountain

I visited London with my boyfriend not so long ago, and of course we had to visit Lush. I hadn't really counted on it, but he went out with a crazy amount of soap and bombs (he - of course - claimed it to be presents for he family).

I only bought one.. It was the Candy Mountain. I feel for it immediatly! This smells exactly like candy! It's amazing!(I'm sniffing it while writing)

It doesn't do anything spectacular when in water, but it does smell up the entire apartment.

Think I'm gonna go use the last bit now.. Happy holidays everybody,

xoxo

PS the green colour wins once in the water..

Topshop! A bit of a blush and a glow

With flash
I am loving Top Shops makeup! The first thing I bought from them, was their highlighter.

It is delicious ! It highlights with a soft pink glow, which makes it perfect for highlighting cheekbones and the cupid bow. It looks soft and as natural as it can get.
The texture is very smooth and glides on! It comes in at only 9£..

Their cream blush is very nice as well. I have it in flush and must admit, it the pan it looks very scary! But have faith, when you swatch it, you can sense how lovely flushed it's going to make your cheeks look. The tones in it is a pink /orange blend. The compact has the characteristic dots, feels very sturdy with a huge mirror (taken the size of in into the equation) and doesn't open by accident in your purse. I use it with the real techniques blush brush which makes my skin looks flawlessly flushed. Hands down, the best cream blush I've had so far! It comes in at 6£.
Without Flash

I will definitely be trying out more of their products soon!

The pictures shows a thick layer of highlight and blush, with and without flash.

Clinique: Superpowder double face makeup

I remember once, a long time ago, where one of my friends came up to me with glitter in her eyes and told me she had finally bought this. At that time, I was a bit of a tomboy and totally didn't get it.
Now I do.

This powder works very well. Not just as a powder, but as a sort of light foundation as well.

The packaging is lovely. It's the classic green and silver casing, that you would associate with clinique. When you click it open via the silver embolishment, you find a big mirror and a sponge above the powder.
I've had mine for quite a while and haven't experienced any flaws in this compact.

I have an oily / mixed skin. It stays put! It doesn't make me shine at all! I use it in a light layer in summer time mostly. It can look too matte in a thick layer, especially in winter time when my skin tends to stay more like a matte on it's own.

The price is around 25$

Pro: It's a compact, it stays matte for a long time, it covers and is therefor good at covering up during the day, it's not very expensive.

Con: It can become too matte if you use too much

Soap and Glory: Smooth Body Butter

First off, I love love LOVE the packaging of all Soap and Glory's products! You can look for a long time at them and still find new, witty comments, that brings out a little smile.

To the product..

The smell: I had hoped it smelled like the handfood. Even though the smell isn't the same, it's still very pleasant. It's still a flirty scent, but this one is a bit more heavy and suttle at the same time than the handfood. See 'what it says' for more detailed info on the scent.

The consistency: It's quite rich, as a butter should be, but not too rich! This means, that this is the cream I put on every morning. It keeps my skin smelling lovely and feeling hydrated.

What it says: The daily smooth amazingly-effective dry skin formula body butter with rosehip seed oil and cocoa butter. Scented with Mist you madly's™ beautiful notes of Bergamot, Blackcurrant, Magnolia, Freesia, Vanilla and Musk.

The price: Around 7 - 7,5 £ at boots. 18$ at sephora online.

What I think?
I think it's lovely for winter. Even though it's very heavy, I find it a necessity to my damaged winter skin. For the price, you won't find a better one for daily use!

If you have very dry skin, this will be the thing for you!

Happy holidays!

Lavera Bio-Orange og Bio-Sanddorn

I went to this beauty convention not so long ago, and found this at a very reduced priced, so of course I had to buy it!

The smell: It smells very much of orange.. Sort of like the REN mask.

The look: It's a delicate yellow!

The good thing about this is, that it is vegan friendly. Sometimes I find that all that 'earth friendly' skincare, leaves a thin layer of something on your skin. This doesn't! It's very quickly absorbed into your skin.
All in all, a very nice handcream! If your in the marked for one, definately try this one out! Plus, it's not to big at 75 ml. It fits perfectly in a womans purse.

The price: It's around 7 £ so nothing that breaks your bank..

Happy holidays everybody!

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

This stuff is really nice! I've tried it out for a couple of weeks and can say with certainty, that it has gotten a permanent place in my collection.

What I do: I use it under my make up in the morning, for a quick 'lift me up' look. It contains minimal pigment (really minimal!!), which I had my doubts about.
I have oily skin, so I don't really need to add more shine on my skin. But this - in a thin layer - looks really nice on top of my regular moisturizer for the harsh winter months!

The scent: It is soothing, calm, luxurious but doesn't linger on the skin for hours.

The look: It's a very delicate peachy color.

What it says it will do for you: Give your skin a radiance in a flash

Does it do it?
I think it looks and feels nice! Definately.. But it's not something I would invest in, if I needed the money to buy something else.  It doesn't do miracles, but it 'does good'. It makes you look like you, just better.
This is one of these products you'll appreciate, when you have everything else. You'll especially appreciate it the morning after new years eve, christmas parties etc.

The price: It's just around 28 £ on feelunique.com
